This is a quiet week in the Astros.
Not that there aren’t any big aspects happening between planets…but it’s a
rather sobering week that requires a little bit of introspection and thought.
Steady as she goes.
We are going to still be
feeling that Venus/Saturn conjunction that brought many of us to the brink of
realizing we actually have in regards to relationship,
what we are worth and what we actually can do with our current resources. Venus
is having a rough week, even though she begins a winner. On Tuesday, January
12, she makes a fun, exciting trine to Uranus in Aries. Here she feels a little
wild, fun and validated in all the headway she thinks that she is making.
However, Venus than makes an
uncomfortable square to Chiron in Pisces. Later on that week she makes a square
to Jupiter in Virgo. Any aspect to Jupiter has the potential to be awesome, but
in this case Venus may be a bit tired from the week or so. However, Venus is in
Sagittarius, and will rally. What all this off Venus energy is telling us here
is that we need to be careful about squandering our resources; be it financial,
emotional or energetic, we need to be disciplined about what we share. It’s not
being stingy, just learning to put value in ourselves, not external things.
This week also brings us on Wednesday
the big Sun in Capricorn making a trine to Jupiter in Virgo. Usually this is a
fantastic aspect, the steady vibe of Capricorn making such an auspicious aspect
to jovial Jupiter in helpful Virgo. It still is a good aspect, but with Jupiter
being retrograde it takes the shine off the whole thing.
The next day, on January 14,
the Sun makes a conjunction to Mercury in Capricorn. Mercury being retrograde
also takes a little bit of magic out of this aspect, but it’s still valuable
for a pull back, an assessment of plans, communications, contracts etc.
Basically this week is about
assessment of our resources; we can’t blindly go after our goals. We have to plan;
we need to see what we have. We need to see what we can do. What this week
brings for us is the acknowledgement that we need to rally; that we have an
unbeatable vibe and will that will help us get to where we want to go. This
week just shows us what we need to do to get there.
FOR EACH SUN/RISING:
ARIES: You know it’s time for
a career costume change, which you aren’t used to: you’d rather just come as
you are, and hang t hose that don’t appreciate you in all your majesty. However,
you know it’s time to up your game. Take it on as a challenge. We all know how
much you love a challenge.
TAURUS: You’ve got some big
dreams and desires and things you want to go after; you also need to take a
moment to do a self-check on the things that you might be trying to ignore. Sex
and desire…connection. You can’t live as a monk…not a physical one or an
emotional one.
GEMINI: This week you are
going to have a little distance from your normal everyday life; mental or
physical, but it’s going to give you a different perspective of what you think
about family/home. Maybe your concept of home lays in another person, a
partner. You might have to do a little compromise this week in a way you may
not want to. Don’t worry; it’ll be good for you.
CANCER: You are going to be
having some private conversations with a trusted friend or just with yourself
about what you are looking for in partnerships. You’ve probably been on this
whole Ms/Mr. independence kick…you got burned so very badly in the past few
years that you got used to going it alone. However you are waking up to what
you need in partnerships and what is possible. It’s better than you think.
LEO: The almighty pressure of work. You aren’t afraid
of hard work; you like to sweat harder than others in an atmosphere where
others can admire your work ethic. However you are starting to re-think this
whole work smart/work hard paradigm. What are your goals? Where do you want to
end up? You are thinking about the long game this week.
VIRGO: Passion and joy for a
Virgo can often look different than it does for most signs. Success, an orderly
existence where your deepest needs are satisfied… stuff like that. No wild
whims that you cant come back from. You don’t have time for that. However you
may need to tap into that thing that brings you the wildest joy you keep banked
in order to reach your true potential. It’s the most practical move for now.
LIBRA: Venus, your ruler has
been doing it’s best to give you expansion within a sensible framework. The
need for hard work, the need for lifting the fog to handle your emotional and
psychic owies etc.…you aren’t going to let anyone knock you off your stride,
not anymore. Use your intuition and your true base to launch from. Don’t know
how to claim/name it yet? This week will give you the tools to do so.
SCORPIO: I bet that you are
ready for a little more oomph than the cosmos have allowed you for the past few
years. Luckily it’s been all Pluto all the time, and with Pluto being one of
your rulers, you may feel like you finally have a leg up on a lot that’s been
going on. Another transformation is neigh…but luckily this one will be of your choosing,
not a reaction to outside forces.
SAGITTARIUS: You are so
pretty these days. Even though you are facing some real confusion and needing
to handle that tired old pain that stems from a less than fantastic home/family
life or history. However you are having some real conversations about your true
worth. You are tired of compromise, and you are ready for a different
conversation. Putting your most amazing self forward can provide you with a
breakthrough of fame and acknowledgment for all the work you’ve done.
CAPRICORN: Who are you? A little
eccestensial crisis happening? Maybe, but you are rethinking about who you are.
Transformation and how you appear to the world has been interesting. Maybe
folks have seen your true colors, and maybe it hasn’t been awesome. However
this week you get to do a little reworking, a lot of realistic assessment of
how you show up in the world. It could be a whole new you.
AQUARIUS: You’ve got mystical
insights of the practical kind. More important, you are coping with a different
idea of community and friendship. You will also find that no matter what you
do, you will feel excited about whatever your new projects are. You are feeling
energized, inquisitive and a little High Priestess wild…like deep primordial
wild. This could get very interesting.
PISCES: You might be
interested in finding a little more of a feeling of magic in your everyday
life, in particular when it comes to love and friendships. However, there is
something about who you are and who you appear to be in the public life that
brings you some kind of pain, some old feeling that maybe who you are is wrong
or odd. Lean into that feeling, see what it tells you. After all, its only old
ghosts, and they are only made of air.
