MOON IN SCORPIO - THE LAST HURRAH

The shift into fire season has already begun and will continue once Mercury enters Sagittarius on December 4th.

However, we still have now. The Moon, Mercury and Saturn hook up in Scorpio this weekend, on the brink of the New Moon on Monday that happens in Sagittarius as well.

It’s a weekend to dream big. There is a fire trine (an easy aspect) between the Sun in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries; in this transit, it will be easy to be egged on to go big or go home…make wild plans for a future that seems so wide and full of possibilities. In the dark of the moon before the new cycle starts, it’s a beautiful time to go ahead and plant crazy seeds for an adventurous future.

You have the Scorpio season to thank for that. All this time, where we have had to delve into the deep, where we have had to be unmercifully uncomfortable, where we may have felt broken and hopeless…it was the Scorpio phase of making sure that you dealt with any deamons that may trip you up in the future, that may sabotage you on your journey’s to great beyond.

The rest of the weekend, make sure that when you are in the process of planning and dreaming for a seemingly impossibly magical future, give thanks to the darkness that rode you, make peace with an imperfect past, and thank the past version of yourself that made this future possible.

Hear that clapping? Hear those folks rooting you on? It’s your deamons, glad you made your great escape.

THANKSGIVING FORECAST-POP THE CORK (ps. it's good for everybody)

This Thanksgiving we have  Cancer, Capricorn and Libra in the spotlight. It starts out with the Venus/Jupiter opposition, with the Libra Moon making squares to each planet.  Oppositions and squares create action, and often times are considered nothing but trouble making aspects. But since it’s Venus and Jupiter and a Moon in Libra it’s like “c’mon! What’s sweeter than these guys having ANYTHING to do with one another”. Together, they are cuter than a box of kittens…

Venus is good vibes, all things bright and beautiful; Jupiter really wants everyone to have the kind of good time that can change your life for the better.

It’s a great transit for meeting new people who will become your best bud and meet a new love. Venus in Capricorn is interested in building things of quality. Friends or lovers you encounter during this time will be long lasting and have a lot to offer you.
Jupiter in Cancer, at the core, is really interested in expanding family and your clan. This is a great one for creating new traditions that will likely last.
Moon in Libra will encourage talk…reconciliations…burying the hatchet without drama. This Libra moon will give us all the veneer of grace and the desire for wellbeing.

Even though the Moon in Libra is bound at some point to join in the fray of the ongoing battleground of the Uranus in Aries/Pluto in Capricorn Square, there’s not much heat of the fight; all the planetary goodness won’t allow it. Venus and Jupiter are waving and blowing kisses at each other from across the Zodiac wheel with verve and joy, and the Moon in peaceful Libra telling everyone to just be nice.

Often it’s the squeaky wheel that gets the oil; often it’s angry, cranky Aunt Bitter and Uncle Can’t-Let the Past Go who can ruin the holiday with their constant whining and arguing. This time around, love and compassion along with the unquenchable desire to have fun will over rule any need or tendency for strife.
If we can have Love and Patience with the family members that feels impossible to love and not have it tinged with the obligatory  “it’s family, so you have to love them” … then maybe we can let that kind of goodwill ripple out towards the rest of the hard scrabble world. Maybe that kind of generosity of spirit can make the holidays, and the world a better place.

It’s about time, right?

THE GIFT OF SAGITTARIUS-THE HOUSE OF GOD

Sagittarius is known for being a fun, adventurous fire sign. However there is more to him then that. He’s the centaur, half man half horse; beautiful and wild. A Sagittarius can never be tamed. While Sagittarius’s are by nature free spirited, they are always on the hunt for the elusive…

In the Zodiac wheel, there are 12 houses and 12 signs; each sign and the planetary ruler are assigned ownership of a house. This house takes on the personality and the issues of the sign/planet that rules it.

Sagittarius and his ruler, Jupiter, rule the 9th house. Jupiter was the King of all Kings, and is considered the big benevolent planet associated with philosophy, higher learning and good times. Jupiter’s role is expansion; where ever he is in your chart is where you will experience expansion. Sagittarius, being ruled by Jupiter, is adventurous for sure; but he is also on the endless search for higher knowledge, often times in regards to spirituality, religion and is often true believers. Yes, Sagittarius’s are on the endless search for meaning and always need to see what lies beyond the horizon, but Sagittarius is the sign that rules priests, priestesses and shamanism; Sagittarius has an inside line to all things mystical and spiritual. Sagittarius’s are touched by divinity, and it rubs off wherever he is in your chart, and wherever he is transiting.

Because of this, the 9th house is called the house of God.

What planets are in your 9th house is where you will be the forever adventurer, the priest and the philosopher.
Wherever you have Jupiter in your chart gets a dose of this goodness.

So right now Jupiter is in Cancer; wherever Cancer is in you chart gets a boost of help from the divine. Wherever Sagittarius lives in your chart is getting a big beautiful boost from the Sun transiting Sagittarius.

Call this the reward for getting through Scorpio Season.

PINK- AN ODE TO MARS IN VIRGO

Mars is currently in Virgo, and will be until December 7th; we have a little less than 3 weeks to make the most of the power of this transit. Mars spends 7 weeks in a sign, usually only transiting half the zodiac in a given year.

It’s helpful in that it’s part of the ongoing Mutual Reception between Mercury in Scorpio and Mars in Virgo; A mutual reception is where planets “swap” their kids (the planet’s kid is the sign they rule) Traditionally Mars is a ruler of Scorpio, and Mercury is the ruler of Virgo. Mutual Receptions shine a benevolent light on the activities of the signs involved.

Between Mars being in Virgo, and the intense Scorpio themed life we have been living, it’s all about getting right, getting healthy, shedding old skin and, if you have one, honing your craft. The planets and signs are getting passionate, so whatever you do is a labor of love.

My Natal Mars and Saturn are conjunct in Virgo, with Jupiter in Virgo too; I don't have what is deemed a proper stellum in Virgo, but I feel it anyway. Now that Mars is in Virgo and meeting up with my Natal Mars/Saturn in my twelth house I can almost breathe a sigh of relief. It's the time I get the luxury to wash my walls and indulge in my OCD. I need this period of time to clean up before I can begin a new endeavor, and before Mars enters my first house. This is the only time I get in the space of two years to hunker down and clean up my act.

For me, I’m tickled pink mars is back in his proper home in my chart.

It's as simple as cleaning out my closet (real or metaphorically) or as complex as dealing with my gluten issues. This time around I’ll use this time to write and focus on projects that need laser sharp attention; with age I have learned the value of this time. I have full intention of using my energy during this transit for the best.

Where does Virgo fall in your chart? Expect Mars to give you a hit of heat here to help you move things along.
