THE SOUNDTRACK OF THE SOLAR ECLIPSE IN TAURUS HOROSCOPES

I don’t know about you, but the Grand Cardinal Cross of April 2014 has brought me to my knees. In defeat or in prayer? I’ll let you know in a month or two.
I hope that one of the lessons the Grand Cardinal Cross of April has taught you are that YOU make your own rules, but not at the expense of others. We all still have to live with each other, and live on this earth together.

However, we have another goose to cook, and another cosmic lesson ahead of us.
The Solar Eclipse in Taurus is the last eclipse we have in Taurus for the next 9 years, so please pay attention to the lessons you have learned regarding worth, value, possessions and how you might have sold yourself out for the almighty dollar, or in keeping up with the jones that the eclipse series between Scorpio/Taurus has discussed in the past 18 months.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the Lunar Eclipse in Libra on April 15 and the Solar Eclipse in Taurus on April 29 both occur in Venus ruled planets. Venus may be considered the goddess of war in ancient astrology, but ultimately she wants joy, beauty, balance and magic. Venus being in Pisces throughout this whole cardinal cross/eclipse season is a gentle reminder that wishes can come true.
While I do think that this Eclipse may bring more endings then usual to a Solar Eclipse, I think this one will help us plant our feet into the ground, and steady us in what comes up. I think in many ways this Eclipse will show us how strong our convictions are. I know after all that’s been going on maybe we need a little settling…but I’m afraid that just isn’t in the cards.
However, thing about this eclipse is that there is a potent Pluto trine to this eclipse, with mercury right on its tail. So chances are this eclipse will be an ending of sorts to the way you have been handling issues of worth, money value, sex death and taxes; after all the eclipse series between Scorpio/Taurus has been aiming to do just that.

Here’s how it may affect each sign/rising

Aries sun/rising: If you aren’t getting crafty about how to make more money, or put some real swag in your game, or fine tuning your hustle, then you are wasting your time. not to mention your considerable talent. Clean up your act, grow up, Get it together, and Make your money. Your theme is “I need a dollar” by Aloe Blacc. Now is a time to show folks, and more importantly, what you can do. You may shock yourself by just what you can do…but chances are people have been waiting on you forever to get to this very point. Chances are your story has more value then you think it does.

Taurus sun/rising:  Please listen to “Clocks” by Coldplay. I love this song, and the hope it has to offer. You are in such a different place then you were a year ago. You may not think you are any different, but you have been taught by a relentless master (Saturn in Scorpio opposite your Sun/Rising) that your old way of being is no longer relevant. So, what does that mean? It means that you have had to do deeper digging and chances are you have had some confusion about yourself and your path. Don’t worry too much, and understand that all this has been about growth, and letting go of some old shit that doesn’t work for you anymore.

Gemini sun/rising: You may think that you don’t need the quiet space to get your head together. Odds are that all you want to do is go and go and go…to chase after the next rainbow. But you don’t have it in you to keep on rambling. Maybe you think that your spirit and soul are dispensable. I think at this point this eclipse is showing you how much you have let slip away by not being in touch with your soul. “Into the mystic” by Van Morrison is mandatory listening.

Cancer sun/rising: I know, I know, you can take care of yourself and everyone else there is. However, there is a WHOLE group of people who would like nothing more than to help you, to support you, to guide you…to even gasp! LOVE YOU!!! I know…it sounds wild, doesn’t it? You may have come to the conclusion that in a very real yet quiet way, you have been a guiding force for your people and your clan. It’s never been a burden or a conscious thing. Just something that has happened by you being lovable you. “With a little help from my friends” (Beatles or Joe Cocker version) bask in your friends’ devotion.

Leo sun/rising: All right. Lets be real for a minute about your desire to be top dog, to run things and be in charge. It’s a Leo’s often all consuming desire. However, this year Jupiter has been lurking in your 12th house, requiring you to be quiet and relax…to make sure that you have a quiet space to plan your big take over. This Eclipse will give to a taste of what’s to come in late summer when Jupiter hits Leo for about a year. Listen to “Izzo (H.O.V.A)” pop your collar, and taste the possibility.

Virgo sun/rising: It’s been an interesting year or so for you, with you calmly sitting back and watching the world around, while you have watched your philosophy and ideas about life shift and change all around you. Sometimes change can set you off in a panic, but you have gained wisdom, and an unshakable idea of what your place in the world…or the universe is. Perhaps you should take this Eclipse to celebrate, and to acknowledge that all you can continue to do is grow and experience. Play “Across the Universe” in celebration.

Libra sun/rising: Something is breaking for you in a real way. This eclipse hits you in your 8th house of shared resources, death, taxes and sexuality. Scorpio rules this house… so transformation only happens if you cut off dead weight and make a true commitment to being wide awake. You may have numbed yourself out here and there…but now that ends. You are always the good one, the helpful one, and the peacemaker. You may have learned how to take care of yourself in the madness of late…but now is time to transform… to let it go and let you BECOME. I would like “Bad” by U2 to be on repeat for you for the next few days.

Scorpio sun/rising: Love and Romance, not to mention Trust can often be loaded to you. All of these things require the biggest word ever: FAITH. It’s hard at times, especially given the trial of the past year or so.  So many trials and tribulations that you have undergone, only to be made stronger for it. How can you take that free fall? It’s so dangerous, and you’ve already lost so much.  However, that being said, you know the power of love. Listen to “stick with me baby” by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. It’s a song of devotion, and just maybe the redemptive power of taking a big chance on a big love.

Sagittarius sun/rising: It’s been a long haul the past 18 months of trying to figure out what needs to happen in order to be more efficient. This is a foreign idea for you in many ways, since all you REALLY want to do is go on your next big adventure, and to go on and live in a big and magnificent way. However, you have been required to buckle down and do the hard work that comes BEFORE success. You may have even had to spend some serious down time taking care of health and day-to-day life. However, there are rewards ahead of you. Listen to “ Everyday I’m Shuffling” by LMAFO and know no one can make the grind fun like you can.

Capricorn sun/rising: Heavy is the head that wears the crown… it’s been hard for you to be the sensible one…you may feel that your needs and wants have taken a trip to the wayside, while chances are right now you are involved in a very quiet rich fantasy life. How can these deep desires be satisfied with the sheer volume of what you THINK you need to do? Take the time off; get a little wild and crazy. Embrace your joy. Go commando, and listen to  “One Big Love by Patty Smith.

Aquarius sun/rising: Saturn has been making a hard square to most of you guys for the past year, with your ruler, Uranus in Aries. I think you guys have been on a very specific brink lately, with you getting a taste of what success could be. If only you could be realistic about your family and home life. I understand that you want your family to be something that in might have been at one point, but is no longer. Just learn to appreciate what you have. You can’t wish things into being. All you can do is LIVE it. Listen to “Family Tradition” by Hank Williams Jr. It will give you a sense of how things can’t stay the same, not at the expense of what you want to do.

Pisces Sun/Rising: I like this Eclipse for you, since it gives you a real edge on summing up your experiences of the past 18 months. You have been able to learn some real lessons, as well as widening your perspective of the world, while doing work to fine-tune what you have been learning.  I would like you to listen to “Learning to Fly” by Tom Petty. It’s not a bad time to really tap into that gypsy soul that you have. By being totally free, understand that you have more to offer anyone then by being the straight man, or the shoulder to cry on.
