WEEKLY FORECAST APRIL 25- MAY 2

We have a terrific week ahead.  We start the week right on the heels of an incredibly powerful Full Moon in Scorpio. I’m sure most of us can still feel the rumblings, and perhaps many of us are a little moon struck from a new sense of awareness.

It’s good that we bring this energy to the week. The Sun makes a fantastic trine to a Capricorn Moon, bringing focus and intent to all we need to do. Then Venus enters Taurus on Friday, which is terrific since Taurus is one of the signs that Venus rules.

The one hiccup this week is when Mercury in Taurus goes retrograde on Thursday.

Wait, don’t panic. This Mercury Retrograde is actually helpful one…for once!!!! This Mercury Retrograde will be making sparkly, helpful trines to Pluto and Jupiter, helping us manage our money and our sense of self worth.

Truthfully, this week will be about evaluating what we value. Do we get paid enough for the work we do? Does our income match up with our sense of self worth? Do we value ourselves? This year has been a hot bed of astrological wildness, where we have all undergone quite the metamorphosis. Who we are now is most likely different from whom we were a mere few months ago. So who are we now? What do we admire, respect and value about ourselves, and of the people in our lives?

FULL MOON IN SCORPIO: THE BECKONING LIGHT

This Full Moon in Scorpio is so delicious. I know there can be some anxiety over the darkness and instant wild that Scorpio brings; her reputation precedes her.

The thing is that we probably don’t utilize her “back from the dead” super powers. Sometimes this Scorpio, we get so slogged down in the power/sex/destructive thing that can happen that the restorative powers she offers can easily be forgotten. Like any epic Hero with his/her salt, you’ve gotta go subterranean to get to the other side, to be reborn into the light.

This Full Moon is a rebirth, that’s for damn sure. The higher octave of Scorpio is the Phoenix, rising magnificently from the ashes.

What’s going to aid this Full Moon in its awesome powers is that Venus and Uranus are making an unpredictable conjunction in Aries. This is powerful, encouraging energy to push us along the way. Because Uranus is involved, I’m not really sure what that is going to look like for everyone. But just expect to be surprised. It’ll be a doozy.

Embrace the heat, the dark and ancient knowledge this Full Moon has to offer. Let yourself become incandescent. A living flame, perhaps.

WEEKLY ASTRO FORECAST APRIL 18-APRIL 24

This week wants to f*#k with us. Seriously. We all have things we want to get started on, projects that have needed to go on the back burner because of all that astro Madness of March, because of the crazed Mercury Retrograde of January. Now, we think we are in the clear.

Alas, not so much.

This week we have Mars/Pluto going Retrograde, while Saturn is already Retrograde. Mercury goes RX at the end of the month, and I know for sure that we are all totally already feeling that vibe. The story is that when faster moving planets like Mars, Venus and Mercury go RX it means that we can’t do anything, we can’t start anything new…that we are supposed to stay still. However life does need to chug along. So basically it’s all a matter of proceeding with caution. It’s not completely relevant to what’s really going to be happening this week, but it’s a good thing to be aware of.

This week Venus is crashing around, making a sweet trine to Saturn, and then an uber hot conjunction to Uranus in Aries. Wowza is this going to be a wild one. Anything goes, really. Venus is flirting with Saturn, talking about adventures and what the next game is going to look like. Saturn wants to be serious, but since he is in Sagittarius, he also wants to play. The Conjunction between the planet of beauty and love with the planet of the wake up call, freedom and anti-establishment will be one for the books. The week is finished off with a sexy, fierce and powerful Full Moon in Scorpio.

ARIES RISING/SUN: This week will have you delving into a situation where you are really in touch with your idea of how you seem to the world at large. In many ways love may have been feeling like a losing game, and your sense of self just keeps shifting and morphing. Now you can see why, and now you can really prune your beliefs and the whole “but what does it all mean?” angst that you may have slogged through. It’ll make sense later, but not now when all you want to do is burn.

AQUARIUS RISING/SUN: Your ruler is locked into a hot moment with Venus, and you’ll be ready to burn. You are always ready for action no matter what; the bigger the shock, the better. You’re not a coward…no siree. As much as you want to take this energy and run, all you should really do is just enjoy it, and see where it takes you. For the mean time, you may need to just chill out and see what the external events will do to shift how you see the world, and how it affects your communications and sense of ambition.

PISCES RISING/SUN: Expect a windfall. Seriously. These days the planetary vibe is in support of a raise, some kind of money or acknowledgement coming your way. It’s exciting stuff quite frankly. Any big move that seems to be on the verge keep an eye on, and let it morph and shift in the way that it may need to. You are good at keeping loose; just know that there is something on the brink for you.

NEW MOON IN ARIES: BOLD

You know that old quote “Fortune favors the bold”?

 Well, Virgil wasn’t lying.

We’ve got a white-hot New Moon in Aries happening on Thursday. I’m sure that you can hear the sizzle already.

This isn’t hard shift energy wise; in some ways this New Moon is taking the path that Mercury took last week; a trine to Saturn, a square to Pluto and a conjunction to Uranus (in that order). Never the less, we spent most of March living in the Pisces haze, which buffered some of the blows that the Eclipses may have dealt us. Now we need to be wide-awake and present. This New Moon is serious business; we can wake up and make moves, or get dragged along.

Because of the fact that this New Moon makes a square to Pluto and a conjunction to Uranus (yes, bringing up THAT old cardinal cross combo) it could make most of us feel wary and cynical. Yes, I know we are used to the whole shake and break thang. However, this New Moon feels different now. I think perhaps because we are all different now. I think rather than Pluto f*#@ing with us, I think Pluto is involved, desperate for us to walk away from what just doesn’t fit anymore. How can we live out the promise of this New Moon if we are doing the same old thing, living out the same old story? I think Uranus here will be the usual wild card, but I think by reveling to us our super power, the bolt of divine energy that can rev us up.

The real ace in the hole here is Saturn’s involvement. Saturn is going to lend us the tools, and give us the patience to move ahead, and to pay attention.

In a nutshell, this New Moon is all of us on the brink. We are washed clean. We can do anything.
