NEW MOON IN ARIES MAGICKS & TIPS

Hello my loveys! Here we are again on the brink of a New Moon in Aries. I hope we have done all the necessary things to clean out our space between the past Full Moon in Virgo (March 16, 2014) and now. This New Moon in Aries is really like a fresh start of the year, where you plant your seeds for the next 6 months. Whatever you start now will come to a completion or answer by the Aries Full Moon in October.

I love New Moons, and the potential they offer us. Full moons get a lot of hype (you know, the whole magical, lunacy thing it has going on) but if you want more bang for your buck, find out when the New Moon is and tap that energy. Every New Moon has a theme, a mood and a lesson. Depending on which sign the New Moon is in, and where it falls in your chart, and how it affects your rising and sun sign is key to knowing how to make the New Moon Magicks work for you.

First? Lets get your tools.

What you need:
Pen/paper – write down what you hope to plant the seed for during this New Moon
Candle – this depends from month to month depending on which sign the New Moon falls in
Herbs/Oils- same applies for candles.

This New Moon falls in Firey Aries. The role of Aries in astrology is the ego, of drive and that extra umpoof.
For this New Moon, I would advise choosing a red, yellow or orange candle. Since Aries is a fire sign you need to honor that energy, as well as the brand new spring energy (even if its still miserable and cold outside) The herbs I would choose is anything hot; cinnamon, cayenne, ginger and/or clove. These herbs add a little something extra, like passion, focus and intention to your new moon wishes. This is a potent new moon, so make the most of it.
Once you have your candle, hold it in your hand and think about what you would like to plant the seeds for during this New Moon, and what you would like to manifest. Get your  herbs/oils, rub it on the candle. If you don’t have any essential oils, use olive oil on the candle, and maybe add a touch of honey to the mix, to add sweetness to the fire you are looking to start in your heart and your life. I tend to use dried herbs on my candles. I would make sure to get a shorter candle to burn, since it needs to burn to its completion for it to truly be potent. If you are worried about burning your house down, put the candle in your kitchen sink. That should keep it safe enough.

That’s easy enough.

In general, for New Moons, I like to make sure to get some cinnamon sticks to burn. They burn very slow, with little to no flame. It’s more of a gesture. Cinnamon is great for drawing in love, passion, protection and money. It’s a herb associated with fire, so it’s great to give a boost to any project.
I like to make sure I put a little rose oil essence and peppermint oil in my shower gel. Peppermint is great for protection and prosperity, while rose oil is a must; after all how can you manifest anything if your heart is not open? Rose oil will help you with that, as well as helping you create with love, and attracting love into your efforts. The first few days of a New Moon is especially potent, so use these days to shower with the magic concoction.

Have fun manifesting.

A RACE CAR IN THE RED-MARS & SATURN RX

I dunno, I’m a little perplexed. It would seem that 2014 has been a whole lotta starts and stops. First we had Venus retrograde in Capricorn, then when she was about to go direct, we entered the Mercury retrograde shadow, and then once mercury went direct mars then Saturn went retrograde.
What gives?

"I got a threshold for the abuse that I will take. Now, right now, I'm a F#$&ing race car, right, and you got me in the red. And I'm just sayin', I'm just sayin' that it's F#$&ing dangerous to have a race car in the F#$&ing red"- Vincent Vega, Pulp Fiction

I think this is how A LOT  of people feel right about now. That they could be convinced they have all I need to let’er rip, to go go go

Alas, that is not meant to be.

While Mars is like Vincent Vega, stuck, cleaning up the mess he made due to over excitement and carelessness (which is SUCH a Mars thing to do) Saturn (the Wolf) is making sure that business gets taken care of by the ones who caused the mess. But, ultimately it was the Wolf who saved the day.

I'll take my cues from the Wolf any day.

That being said, I have learned my lesson well. When Saturn is at the helm of ANYTHING, its best to just take your cues from Saturn. And when Saturn is Retrograde, it means you better take your ass back to the drawing board. Just do it. When dealing with Saturn, the juice is NOT worth squeeze.

I know this because I spent a good solid 6 ½   years being Saturn’s bitch. Not like a sexy D/S bitch (that’s more Pluto style, and something my Scorpio Moon would dig).  About  6½ years ago Saturn entered Virgo, where during that transit it squared my natal Venus, made a conjunction to my natal Mars and then made a conjunction to my natal Saturn….aaaaand when that happens that’s a Saturn return. Shortly after that Saturn entered Libra and moved into my first house, only to make a conjunction to my natal Pluto, and a square to my Sun. Then Saturn moved into Scorpio, and took up residence on my beleaguered moon.

What does this mean? It means that I had a LOT of things that needed to be cleaned up in my life, from how I handle anger, how I handle my responsibilities, how I show up in my romantic relationships, how I take responsibility for myself (or how I didn’t). The Saturn life showed my how I do my best to destroy myself, but find a way to put myself together again into a far more authentic version of myself. Saturn showed me how to get a hold of my emotions, and how to stop with my burn and raze policy in dealing with my emotions, and instead understand that everything is NOT life or death.

Currently Saturn is conjunct my natal Uranus, which compels me to think outside the box, to stop being a lemming or sheep. Baaaa…..

That being said, I’m not gonna fuss too much about this current halt. Because I finally trust Saturn. He has gone retrograde, and in that process has told me to pump the breaks on my projects. I feel he is right, so I am back to the drawing board in many ways. I’m willing to keep my eyes open, and see what this Saturn retrograde has to teach me.

I hear that whip crackin’…

IN BLOOM-A NOTE ABOUT THE SPRING EQUINOX

Yes, it’s still a little gray with the chill in the air, most of the branches of the trees are bare and the weather report says that there is a chance of snow this weekend.
No matter how deceptive it may seem, spring is indeed here. The Spring (Vernal) Equinox has arrived, and it’s time to act accordingly.

The spring equinox is usually the day that the Sun moves into Aries. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and on the astrology wheel, where everything really starts. For the Earth, the spring equinox is the beginning of the year; it’s where the ground, trees and living creatures are waking up to warming light in the sky, and responding to being gently woken up from the long winter slumber.

With the Spring Equinox, we are welcoming the return of Freya, Osiris, and Persephone to the earth.

The sphinx was built to face the growing sun of the spring equinox.
In the western Christian calendar, Easter is determined as the first Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon, which is the first full moon after the spring equinox.

This is where we set up our plans. Maybe you had some kick ass New Years Resolutions. Chances are at this time they have lost steam. However, with the Spring Equinox, you get to really get into it. You get to work on your real plans, to get down into the dirt and plant your seed.
What do you want to happen? What do you want to see grow and live in bloom by the Summer Equinox? What do you want to reap and harvest in 6 months during the Autumnal Equinox? What do you want to enjoy and treasure and refine come the Winter Equinox in 9 months?
Ways to celebrate? Make some hot cross buns, which honors the equinoxes and the four corners of the year that it covers. Light some red candles to give a push to your plans. Use this equinox to rejuvenate yourself and your life.
What’s your checklist on what you want to accomplish look like?
I’ll help you cheat: find the thing that makes you excited, the thing that makes you feels free. Figure that out, and go with it. Grow your garden to your satisfaction.

FULL MOON IN VIRGO FORECASTS

ARIES SUN/RISING: This Full Moon falls in your 6th house of management of every day affairs. You will want to get all your ish in order this Full Moon, like get a check up, check your credit or finally reorganize your graphic novels alphabetically or something like that. I know that you are feeling fired up these days, and really don’t want to feel compelled to handle your daily life details, but trust me when I tell you that you will feel a million times better about yourself if you handle your life better, not to mention how much more momentum you can create once your life’s debris is cleared up.

TAURUS SUN/RISING: I know it seems counter-intuitive, but this Full Moon falls in your 5th house of true love, joy, passion and children. So, yes..Frolic like the children of the night, or something like that. You have been busy with some much these days that the idea of taking time out of your life to do something that really brings you joy or feeds your soul seems silly. However, I know you probably won’t since you have finally come to realize that SOMETHING is missing, and you are going to ferret it out…systematically and tenaciously. After all, it’s just how you bulls roll.

GEMINI SUN/RISING: I KNOW you guys have been busy lately. Like, real life busy, not just engaging in busy work. You guys are being transformed, and it’s not a passive transformation, but one that you are whole-heartedly a part of. For a freewheeling air sign like yourself, that might make you feel at ends. However, there is more to your metamorphosis and that is for you to stop walking around that pile of dirty clothes in your living room, or washing that one mug in the sink rather than running the dishwasher.  You are coming to realize that your home is your castle, and can’t be neglected while you are taking over the world.

CANCER SUN/RISING: Lets talk, and talk about your feelings. There is no sweetness or sap here, but rather your conversations are revolving around your brand new self-awareness of WHAT IT IS that you can truly do. Your self-inflicted boundaries are melting away, and you are starting to make plans, fearlessly. So you are writing, talking and planning. You are ready to take off, and are excited about it. You are looking to go back to school, to engage in the outside world. While some of this may feel a little foreign, these changes have been in effect since the end of last summer. So. Make your plans, do your thing and talk. But, for crying out loud, call your brother or sister. Keep them in the loop.

LEO SUN/RISING: Champagne taste on beer budget seems to be the curse of most Leo’s. It’s not a bad thing to love the finer things, it’s just that you need to be able to handle that and be able to pay your bills. That’s what this Full Moon if for, to help you get a handle on debts or messy money issues. However, I think most importantly that this Full Moon you will make some tight planning on how to pull in more income. You know you are worth it, and you are ready to storm into the bosses’ office, to prowl on that desk and explain how you are demanding a raise. You will shatter that glass ceiling, for crying out loud. However, given the way this Full Moon is shaking up, you may not need to. You see, this Full Moon will bring up some very good old deeds from the past. Don’t be surprised to get monetary accolades.

VIRGO SUN/RISING: For awhile you have been working on others, your relationships with others while you have been hanging in the back, still taking care of your daily life while there has been this invisible pull on you and your soul…it’s magnetic, taking you away from the world while you feel something monumental bun unnamable happening to you. You have learned enough in the past few years to know when to surrender to forces stronger than yourself. This Full Moon reveals to you what has been going on behind the curtain, and the confirmation that you are transforming into a stronger, smarter version of yourself. Use this Full Moon to celebrate yourself, and all you have learned and overcome.

LIBRA SUN/RISING: You are burnt out, my lovely little Libra. I know, Mars has been transiting your sign, and you have been getting more astrological help then you are used to, so you are working hard, getting out there and building yourself, building your life. However your kind of burn out is of the PTSD variety. It’s not the oh- I –work-too-much/party-too-hard burn out. It’s the kind that is soul deep, and needs to be addressed. Most Virgo Full Moons are good for Libras to chill out but for the past few years you have been hyper diligent. However, for now you are getting some breathing room to heal yourself. Take it. Chill out and get centered. You can finally do it now.

SCORPIO SUN/RISING: Your friends and associates may be calling on you more than usual for you fix things, to pay attention to them or to hang out. OR maybe you want some hanging out time, but everyone is too busy with their own –ish to give you what you need. Usually this is the kind of thing that would irritate you beyond reason or even piss you off. However, since Saturn has been transiting your Sun for the past 17 months, you have a little insight on how to handle these busy times. Rather than get irritated, you might just use this Full Moon to solidify your alliances and strengthen bonds that exist in your group of friends and your community.

SAGITTARIUS SUN/RISING: This Full Moon puts a focus on your 10th house of ambitions, work and career. You will need to be super focused on this Full Moon; dot your I’s, cross your t’s and all that stuff that goes along with being efficient. This Full Moon you may even have a light bulb of awareness of what direction you may want to move in now in regards to not only your career, but also your standing in the world at large. It would even be a good idea to see about getting a little bit of assistance on being more efficient. However, this Full Moon is more about being focused about your career, applying some elbow grease and handling your business rather than looking at where you think the grass is greener.

CAPRICORN SUN/RISING: This Full Moon has you thinking of what lies over the rainbow, of where you are heading spiritually and philosophically. However, you will find yourself looking into these matters in a methodical way, to make sure that you don’t miss a thing. Most importantly, this Full Moon will reveal to you any self inhibiting blocks that you may be encountering, blocks that are keeping your from fully enjoying any mind opening experiences, or anything that can happen to enrich your understanding of your life.

AQUARIUS SUN/RISING: This Full Moon may make you feel a little itchy around the edges, since it encourages you to embrace intimacy in a way that you often don’t, and actually prefer not to. Your most important partnerships are requiring full disclosure, and that includes you sharing things that you don’t want to, or hearing things that you may not want to. Since this Full Moon happens for you in your 8th house of intimacy and sharing, you may feel your freedom hampered, be it by the demands of others or of issues regarding shared resources. These are all necessary evils, since no man is an island, and the point of being human is of sharing our lives with others.

PISCES SUN/RISING: This Full Moon lights up your 7th house of Love, Partnerships and Open Enemies; this Full Moon will bring you awareness of how to be more efficient in dealing with your primary relationships. If there are issues in your most important relationships, chances are this full moon will show you ways to open up communication, and encourage compromise and ways to make the relationship move along in a much more smooth and healthy way. You will see all your most important relationships benefit greatly from this Full Moon, especially when you remember that deep inside you want to see your loved ones happy.
