We have a potent Full Moon in Virgo today. This is a rather straightforward Full Moon that needs us to look at our lives, and see what needs to change and shift in order to move forward. We may not necessarily like what we are being told, however there is a sense of relief here; This Full Moon gives us the answers we have been seeking, as well as the answers to questions that we didn’t even know that we were asking.

Virgo is the sign that deals with functionality. It’s efficient, and sometimes leans a little too far into perfectionism. This Full Moon stands at a distance, and shows you what is NOT working in your life, and why. Virgo at its core is a helpful sign, and won’t leave you hanging. Rather, this Full Moon will show you what has to change, and will show you the tools on how to do so.

 The Full Moon is a shining light on the situations in your life that need to be cleaned up, and there is no possible way to turn your head away from the new truths in your life. This is a great moon to handle your needs and what you have to do to have the life you dream of. In truth, there is a great deal of surrender here. There is no room for denial with this Full Moon.

We also have a gorgeous, healing Jupiter/Chiron opposition. If there is any pain in your healing or revelations, please know that it is in order to clear out emotional or spiritual debris that is not awesome for you. Odds are that you will be faced with situations that are uncomfortable; Jupiter will take the sting out of it, and offer you the long view of a situation.

It’s a simple Full Moon in many ways, yet incredibly dramatic. It’s the turning point for many of us. We can’t continue to live life with a blindfold, lying to ourselves and behaving in ways that smack of unrealistic thinking. This Full Moon wants to help us make the most of our lives. VENUS IN AQUARIUS: UNPREDICTABLE

One thing I can say with complete and utter certainty is that with Venus in Aquarius, you can’t quite predict her. She’s the electronica girl, with violet hair and a mean right hook that comes out of nowhere. You can’t tell her what to do, only wait and see what comes next.

Venus handles money, beauty and war. When Venus calmly enters Aquarius, she surveys the terrain impassively, knowing that she’s going to usher in mind blowing change in ways that may even surprise her. Here, she is the wild card, the ace in the hole…she’s the trick you didn’t know you had in you.

Venus making her way into Aquarius after the gritty land locked days of December and January will show us how we can live outside of the status quo, how we make our own rules…of how we can bend the rules enough to satisfy our need for freedom without totally destroying anything. Destruction is not the game that Aquarius wants to play; reform and uneasy evolution is her specialty.

We can become moguls here with a big outside the box ideas. True love can occur if you go on a date with some one who isn’t your usual type. You can win a battle by dreaming up a risky strategy.  You could remake your image by trying a wild new style. The weirder the better.

WEEKLY HOROSCOPES 2/14-2/21

Venus now joins the Mercury in Aquarius party on Tuesday, just 2 days before the Sun slips into Pisces. As for the rest of the planets, we are devoid of any real oppositions, squares or conjunctions that can wreck havoc with our lives, or force some kind of evolution. We can sit back and experience this shift. Venus in Aquarius is an unpredictable lover, an edgy girl with violet hair and a hell of a right hook.

The Sun finding his way into the sparkly blue vibe of Pisces…nebulous and magical. The Moon spends a lot of time in her home sign of watery Cancer this week as well. This week is going to be touched by something soft and otherworldly…now that Mercury is out of the shadow zone we can finally trust our intuition.

Mars is still in Scorpio, and is entering the shadow of the Mars RX; what this means is that while Mars may be quiet this week, he is still there licking his chops.

This isn’t a week for force or big shows of power; rather it’s a week of soaking up all the vibes in the air.

ARIES: For once you aren’t in the fray; you get to sit this one out and take a much-needed breather. The cosmos aren’t asking anything from you this week except to rest and look at the world from your brand new vista. You have the space to think clearly about your next move. You’ll need to get ready for the good shifts coming at the end of the month.

TAURUS: Your ruler Venus has been going through the paces the past month. Not that you needed it, but it’s been necessary to have some shake-ups in order to help you gain some clarity or vision at the very least. You’ll be locking horns over some money/romantic situations where you might need to take on a different point of view on some issue that you really don’t want to think about.

GEMINI: Sure we had some air energy in the past week but not enough to keep you from feeling suffocated. Things got a little darker than you are used to in the past few months… a little more structured and edgy. This upcoming week will be like a set of terrace doors being cracked open to whole new world. You’re gearing up for the next phase of your take over. You aren’t who you once were. The world is going to see that soon.

CANCER: I think that there has been a white flagged waved in your life lately. I don’t think it’s a flag flown in defeat; it’s a matter of surrendering to a reality that looks different from what you had dreamed. LIBRA: You can feel it, if you pay attention. The power surging through your body…it cannot be denied. Your desire to truly create, to submerge yourself in your art, your joy…it’s going to feel like a rebirth of some kind. MERCURY INTO AQUARIUS: ILLUMINATION

I believe that I have been Uranus-ed.

A site that I love to follow, Mystic Medusa wrote a post about how when you’ve been hit by Uranus, all things electric go haywire. Uranus is electrifying; it’s that jolt that wakes you up. When the ozone has cleared, you see clearly; you can see things, hear things that no one else can. You are on a whole other wavelength.

I’ve always been sort of Uranus-y; I have a ton of trines to my natal Uranus, and a few squares. I have always been easy to receive little shocks of electricity, and sensitive to lightening storms. Right now Uranus in Aries is running roughshod all over the cosmos, and I can really feel it. Bizarre insights from out of the blue, light bulbs keep popping around me...it's odd business but feels right.

Uranus rules Aquarius; Mercury is moving into Aquarius, and Venus will be following suit soon, so we are now going to be especially electrified. This new Aquarius vibe is great for the next step; Aquarius is devoid of what things should be, and focuses on what things can be. It’s going to be a big change of pace, one that is welcome but may be hard to adjust to.

Now that we’ve got that breathing room away from the whole death/rebirth story that we lived through January and the first half of February, we can observe what had to go, and what we decided we would keep. Luckily Aquarius is clear thinking, cold and refreshing. Our thinking won’t get muddled with emotions…rather I believe that we are able to decompartmentalize much of our lives, and put things together the best way that we now know how.

Mercury will officially be out of the shadow phase of the retrograde a few days after he moves into Aquarius, bringing the saga of the Capricorn domination to a close. I’m wondering what thoughts will occur for you, what conversations…I can tell you this though; whatever it is expect it to be unexpected.

Hey Astro people; this week is going to be a totally different scene than the past few months. Really. We do have a tempestuous New Moon in Aquarius with Mars, The Moon, Venus and Uranus getting up in the mix. It’s going to be a total shift in how we see/think/do any and everything. On Saturday Mercury enters Aquarius, giving us a break from all those earthy Capricorn vibes.

February 9^th ushers in Fat Tuesday…that wild night before Ash Wednesday that folks often go pretty wild…the last night of Carnival (which technically means farewell to the flesh). Tuesday gives us a Mars trine Chiron, and a Venus trine Jupiter. All this is very nice, very helpful in healing any kind of madness from the New Moon, not to mention giving us a nice party vibe.

The rest of the week has the Moon going through Pisces, Aries and Taurus; some conjunctions and trines to Chiron, Mars and Sagittarius. On Saturday we get a great boost from Mars sextile Jupiter, helping us dream big and work hard. All in all this is a great week for taking it easy, and to use your new epiphanies to the best possible use.

ARIES: Your ruling planet Mars is all over the place in the cosmos, making smart alliances with Chiron and Jupiter. Expect some fantastic flashes of insight as well as a chance to handle anything that ails you with a pain that hurts so good. Don’t worry about what comes next; just use this week to be.

TAURUS: The past few weeks have shaken you up in a good way; I’m assuming you have grown in leaps and bounds and might be ready for a break. This weekend gives you a fantastic time to relax and enjoy the finer things in life, which we all know you have down to an art form.
