WEEKLY FORECAST-1/24-1/31

So far in 2016, with the heavy yet transformative Pluto vibe, Mercury RX in Capricorn and all the Earth conjunctions/trines, we have had to go to the drawing board, to create, to change to scrap plans or rebuild. Even though we have some shifts this week, Venus in Capricorn will remind us of the work that we are trying to do. Mercury goes direct, and passes over Pluto on 1/30 one last time; this is a wrap up of the lessons we have been learning since the middle of December. Mercury than makes a square to Uranus, making thoughts and communications electric.

Jupiter makes another trine to Pluto, and another conjunction to the North Node on 1/30, giving us insight on how to be successful in our projects.

SUN/RISING SIGN FORECASTS:

Aries: status baby. With Uranus hitting your sun/rising for the past 5 years you have undergone a sea change where you may not have been able to figure out even for yourself what is going on. But the events of the past few years, especially the past few weeks have left you ready to play. You are in a position to be major player; just don't let what other people want to you be or remain mess you up. You know what star you are reaching for.

TAURUS: I know you are gun shy these days when it comes to love and matters of the heart. You may still feel the sting of Saturn being a total buzz kill in the romance department. However you've got a heap of help these days, with Jupiter still hanging out in your house of love/joy, and Mars barging into your house of partnerships/love. Better yet, Mars will me making a wish granting aspect to Neptune. Love events are fated. This is one of the few times you can jump in with both feet.

GEMINI: you have learned what it is you need to do to have a healthy, functional life: Saturn spent 2 years trying to teach you those lessons, to give you the tools. Now you are fired up to put them in action. The push to do so comes from a desire to create something solid with someone…or just to be able to be considered legit. Your perception of the darker side of life and your willingness to grasp onto true intimacy is also a kick in the butt.

CANCER: I'm willing to bet that nearly all your old partnerships have either exploded, or melted to dust in the past few years. Some have probably gone out with a glorious blaze of glory. The only ones that remain are the ones that are healthy, the ones that enhance you. You are tired of looking back; ruminating even thought Mercury RX will require a little bit more of that. But this week you make a true commitment to those that have earned your loyalty; you move forward with confidence in those you have chosen to keep.

LEO: Family/home/baseline is going to be getting a lot of attention for most of this year. This will encourage you to create a fantastic chance for you to get the structure you need. This goes hand in hand with how you are reworking your everyday life in regards to scheduling, your overall health vibe and productivity. This week gives you a little bit of sweetness, some positive confirmation that you are on the right track.

VIRGO: Jupiter on the north node in your sign is a very big deal. Huge and powerful. That combined with the whole Mars/Neptune love affair that amps up your whole communication and partnership vibe leaves you in an electric place of manifesting the life you want. You know you can't go it alone and you are attracting the right allies and folks to support your dreams and goals. Just remember that at some point you will need to pay it forward 

LIBRA: so far this month it's been a replay of the crap of the past few years’…family crap crossed by partnership crap. However I think by the end of the month you will have solved the conundrum that has been haunting you for the past few years. It's been such a drain. However you will be getting a whole new scene of empowerment with Uranus opposing Lilith in Libra; you may shock everyone with a bad girl swag that has been sorely lacking.

SCORPIO: now you have a little bit of revitalization on board for you; it comes with a fantastic wish granting vibe dealing with love, joy and children. This is a week to bask in that magic, and wait for something fantastic to be created. On that note, you might have to rethink some of the ways that you work, and more importantly communication. How are your message and the way you communicate landing for others? 

SAGITTARIUS: your ruling planet Jupiter cozying up to the magnificent North Node is magical for you in how you show up in the world, especially in the way of wordy acclaim. It's magical stuff, and seems to confirm what you already know. Even though you are being stuck in slow mode in regards to having your money match your work vibe, it will lift and you will realize there have been valuable lessons to be learned here.

CAPRICORN: the whole thing about your place in the world has been pressing on you. Perhaps whoever you thought you were is shifting. I know Capricorn’s are smart and survivors, so hopefully you haven’t been fighting change too hard. This week will give you a glimpse of how deeply and positively your future can look. Keep the faith, and wait and see how amazing your transformation will be.

AQUARIUS: I know you are so very happy to have the Sun in your sign; you’ve been due for a little bit of light. This week is one where you realize a lot is going on in the background in your psyche. You are ready for a shift of some kind, and could very well be chomping at the bit to handle some serious money/value revolution. Victory is nigh!

PISCES: So much of your success these days lies in the hands of your partnerships, your friendships and of your relationships with others. You may not love it, but it just is. You may not be in the proper space to play with others, but you know it’s necessary. However, if you are that Pisces that is ready to play nice with others just remember complete transparency is needed. No veils or masks please.

VENUS IN CAPRICORN-ENDURING LOVE

Another planet has joined the Capricorn party, and it is the lovely Venus. Venus living in this earthy sign for the next 3 weeks will be serious business, especially since it’ll be in league with Mercury and Pluto during this time.

Are we getting the message from the cosmos yet? That it’s time to work, to build, to get rid of the distractions and garbage from our lives? This Venus transit will make the process a little sweeter, a little easier.

Some folks aren’t always thrilled when Venus transits Capricorn: it’s not considered an easy, or sexy transit. I say pish-posh to that; after all Pan was a goat, and who is more randy than that guy? Sex could get a little weird, a little animalistic because that’s the road some Capricorns take.

Venus in Capricorn is a time of keeping impulses and desires under control; this is Venus being careful and serious about the future, about everything truth be told. This is Venus of substance…industrious. This is the kind of Venus that will have a pre-nup presented before she even accepts the engagement ring.

This is also a transit about building, seeing results…making commitments. Love has to be earned. Everything has to be functional, have a use or just be something that could be built upon. No waste here.

I think that it’s a good thing to throw Venus into the Capricorn mix; she won’t be as bright and shiny as she usually is…however she will add a little bit of lightness to the necessary heaviness of the Capricorn landscape right about now.

With this transit, we will be able to get down to it, and weed away all the crap that is keeping us from having the kind of love we want, get paid what we know we are worth, and be as beautiful/handsome as we want to be. Nothing is stopping this Venus from getting what she wants here.

Whatever is left after the excavation of this transit (linked up with Pluto of course) will the stuff of legends and has serious lasting power.

SUN IN AQUARIUS: IN THE AIR

We are moving away from Capricorn/Saturn domination into the slightly wild, slightly detached and highly creative Aquarius goodness. It’s been a little rough for my lovely Air signs, suffocating under the pile of dirt of Earth sign domination. Water signs have become stuck and muddy, Fire signs subdued.

Fire needs oxygen and air to grow and flutter, Water needs air to shift and move, Air needs Air just to BE.

So here we are with only heavenly body in an Air sign, so why not have it be Aquarius? Edgy, New Agey…something slightly alien about them…otherworldly. Sudden flashes of insight, of needing space to process, often grace Aquarius. Aquarius is outside the box. You can’t predict an Aquarius…. marching by the beat of their own drum is an understatement.

Saturn originally ruled Aquarius, but then had her ruler changed to Uranus (kind of a long story, astrologers still argue about it.) I am surrounded by Aquarius energy in my life, so I mostly see the quirky, unpredictable Uranus energy there, although I also see a lot of the stern, detached vibe of Saturn there as well.

Things are going to start to lighten up a bit. We are still in the grips of the Capricorn/Mercury/Pluto tale of destruction, death, rebirth and a righteous comeback. It’s been about ruthless, pitiless honesty the past month. The Sun in Aquarius gives us a little breathing room, a little distance to process and accept whatever has come and gone. Better yet, for us to be innovative about our next step.

FULL MOON IN LEO: HEARTLINE

So here we are with a bright and shiny Full Moon in Leo. It’s a slightly tarnished Full Moon, not feeling quite in place with all the earthy energy. Yes, The Sun just moved into Aquarius, so the cosmos are lightening up a tad bit. However the strum und drag of January 2016 is very much in action. Things are being dismantled, at least anything with faulty foundations. This Full Moon in Leo is a tad darker than others; it comes on the heels of some harder Pluto/Mercury/Capricorn energy. It’s been a lot of dealing with the shadow, of issues surrounding power, ambition and intention. Or you could have been doing a lot of healing work.

With this Full Moon in Leo, we want to be noticed, for our accomplishments to be acknowledged. We will NOT be ignored. It’s easy to act out here, or throw a tantrum…Leo can act badly like that sometimes. However, at the core here is indeed the desire to matter. If you are in a situation where you aren’t being appreciated, or are forced to hide your light under a bushel, you may decide to spend your time and energy elsewhere. SELF-EMPOWERMENT is a very large component of this Full Moon. No grandstanding…we are all better than that.

This bright and fiery moon will help light the way. Consider this moon the kick off…especially since we are getting some hot help from the Saturn/Uranus trine in fire signs Sagittarius and Aries (respectively).

While meditating on this Full Moon, I drew the Ace of Wands. A New Beginning! Wands are the fire suit of Tarot, and the Ace is the first card of this suit. It’s a creative, bold and brave new start. Chances are we are standing in the middle of ashes of something that is now gone…so we need a positive new beginning, which this Full Moon will help usher in. After all, every new beginning is some other beginning’s end…

VENUS IN SAGITTARIUS-VENUS UNDER THE GUN

Hello there my astro lovies: It would seem that poor Venus in Sagittarius is taking the same path of Venus in Scorpio did over the past 2 years. Because of Saturn being in Sagittarius, we don’t get the same oomph from Venus that we normally would. The past week or so is proof positive of that .
I’m a Libra Rising, so anything to do with Venus I feel keenly (Venus rules both Libra and Taurus). I feel when she is conflicted, and when she’s happy.
Last week she made a conjunction to Saturn, where you may have had to face some sobering facts about your resources, a love relationship or even you set of values.
Tuesday was a terrific day for Venus; she made a fantastic trine to Uranus in Aries…adventure, optimism and energy.
However, today she makes an uncomfortable square to Chiron in Pisces…this brings up old hurts to do with affairs of the heart, sense of feeling loved and lovable. Some of these feelings are knee jerk reactions…any little thing can bring up these feelings of unworthiness…of feeling unpretty.
We also have Venus making a square to Jupiter on Sunday: this is an aspect that may feel good at the time, but will probably make us feel regretful later; This is an aspect that encourages over spending, over eating, over doing it in every way. Maybe this aspect will be good in getting that Venus in Sagittarius wildness out of our systems before Venus enters Capricorn next weekend.

Overall, having Venus under the gun has been valuable in showing us what we do with our resources, especially our most important one yet: our sense of inner value and self

WEEKLY HOROSCOPE * 1/11/16-1/17/16

This is a quiet week in the Astros. Not that there aren’t any big aspects happening between planets…but it’s a rather sobering week that requires a little bit of introspection and thought. Steady as she goes.

We are going to still be feeling that Venus/Saturn conjunction that brought many of us to the brink of realizing we actually have in regards to relationship, what we are worth and what we actually can do with our current resources. Venus is having a rough week, even though she begins a winner. On Tuesday, January 12, she makes a fun, exciting trine to Uranus in Aries. Here she feels a little wild, fun and validated in all the headway she thinks that she is making.

However, Venus than makes an uncomfortable square to Chiron in Pisces. Later on that week she makes a square to Jupiter in Virgo. Any aspect to Jupiter has the potential to be awesome, but in this case Venus may be a bit tired from the week or so. However, Venus is in Sagittarius, and will rally. What all this off Venus energy is telling us here is that we need to be careful about squandering our resources; be it financial, emotional or energetic, we need to be disciplined about what we share. It’s not being stingy, just learning to put value in ourselves, not external things.

This week also brings us on Wednesday the big Sun in Capricorn making a trine to Jupiter in Virgo. Usually this is a fantastic aspect, the steady vibe of Capricorn making such an auspicious aspect to jovial Jupiter in helpful Virgo. It still is a good aspect, but with Jupiter being retrograde it takes the shine off the whole thing.

The next day, on January 14, the Sun makes a conjunction to Mercury in Capricorn. Mercury being retrograde also takes a little bit of magic out of this aspect, but it’s still valuable for a pull back, an assessment of plans, communications, contracts etc.

Basically this week is about assessment of our resources; we can’t blindly go after our goals. We have to plan; we need to see what we have. We need to see what we can do. What this week brings for us is the acknowledgement that we need to rally; that we have an unbeatable vibe and will that will help us get to where we want to go. This week just shows us what we need to do to get there.

 FOR EACH SUN/RISING:

ARIES: You know it’s time for a career costume change, which you aren’t used to: you’d rather just come as you are, and hang t hose that don’t appreciate you in all your majesty. However, you know it’s time to up your game. Take it on as a challenge. We all know how much you love a challenge.

TAURUS: You’ve got some big dreams and desires and things you want to go after; you also need to take a moment to do a self-check on the things that you might be trying to ignore. Sex and desire…connection. You can’t live as a monk…not a physical one or an emotional one.

GEMINI: This week you are going to have a little distance from your normal everyday life; mental or physical, but it’s going to give you a different perspective of what you think about family/home. Maybe your concept of home lays in another person, a partner. You might have to do a little compromise this week in a way you may not want to. Don’t worry; it’ll be good for you.

CANCER: You are going to be having some private conversations with a trusted friend or just with yourself about what you are looking for in partnerships. You’ve probably been on this whole Ms/Mr. independence kick…you got burned so very badly in the past few years that you got used to going it alone. However you are waking up to what you need in partnerships and what is possible. It’s better than you think.

LEO:  The almighty pressure of work. You aren’t afraid of hard work; you like to sweat harder than others in an atmosphere where others can admire your work ethic. However you are starting to re-think this whole work smart/work hard paradigm. What are your goals? Where do you want to end up? You are thinking about the long game this week.

VIRGO: Passion and joy for a Virgo can often look different than it does for most signs. Success, an orderly existence where your deepest needs are satisfied… stuff like that. No wild whims that you cant come back from. You don’t have time for that. However you may need to tap into that thing that brings you the wildest joy you keep banked in order to reach your true potential. It’s the most practical move for now.

LIBRA: Venus, your ruler has been doing it’s best to give you expansion within a sensible framework. The need for hard work, the need for lifting the fog to handle your emotional and psychic owies etc.…you aren’t going to let anyone knock you off your stride, not anymore. Use your intuition and your true base to launch from. Don’t know how to claim/name it yet? This week will give you the tools to do so.

SCORPIO: I bet that you are ready for a little more oomph than the cosmos have allowed you for the past few years. Luckily it’s been all Pluto all the time, and with Pluto being one of your rulers, you may feel like you finally have a leg up on a lot that’s been going on. Another transformation is neigh…but luckily this one will be of your choosing, not a reaction to outside forces.

SAGITTARIUS: You are so pretty these days. Even though you are facing some real confusion and needing to handle that tired old pain that stems from a less than fantastic home/family life or history. However you are having some real conversations about your true worth. You are tired of compromise, and you are ready for a different conversation. You are feeling energized, inquisitive and a little High Priestess wild…like deep primordial wild. This could get very interesting.

PISCES: You might be interested in finding a little more of a feeling of magic in your everyday life, in particular when it comes to love and friendships. However, there is something about who you are and who you appear to be in the public life that brings you some kind of pain, some old feeling that maybe who you are is wrong or odd.
